community publishing programs

Alongside our peer-reviewed journal, we aim to publish carefully curated lines and standalone titles devoted to the study of working class thinking, liberatory historical movements, and the organizational and aesthetic traditions of the oppressed.

the journal

Since 2019, Peace, Land, and Bread has served as a leading peer-reviewed journal devoted to cutting edge scholarship and arts focused on the theory, history, arts, and organizational traditions of working class movements. Published on an ad hoc basis, the journal brings together leading scholars, organizers, and cultural workers to examine the ideas, documents, and historical experiences that continue to shape struggles for justice and emancipation.

visual art

Our visual work stands alongside our books and other scholarship as a core and co-equal part of the project, drawing from the great traditions of working class graphic culture—constructivism, OSPAAL internationalist design, anti-colonial print movements, and the broader visual history of the oppressed—while extending those traditions into the contemporary.
